Month names tied to harvests and herds, reassembled from four elders' memories and two printed sources.
The names describe work rather than gods or emperors: the month of ploughing, the month the herds go up, the month of the short nights.
Where our four sources disagreed we recorded all variants rather than choosing one. A calendar with footnotes is more honest than a tidy one.
